This is the park in the centre of town. Ironically enough, there is a Canadian maple tree there. Years ago when Sao Carlos was a slave estate, some duke or something from Portugal had this park as his private garden and had all these plants imported or given as gifts, I guess some crazy Canadian decided to leave his mark.
