Japan is famous for big ass ferris wheels in the middle of all the major cities. You can see this baby from everywhere in Osaka. What is so great about it (and so Japanese about it) is that it gives the weather forecast for the following day every night! It lights up green, blue or yellow (or something like that) and each color represents the next day's weather. Man, those crazy japanese, no central heating but they have giant weather predicting ferris wheels. To the Japanese it all makes perfect sense....
