Well...aparently according to the "American Family Association" based out of Mississippi he is and he and his creator are spreading the evil word of homosexual acceptance (cue the gasps of horror).

Here we go...so apparently because the crazy group of rightwing, manical, no fun Dr. Laura fanclub members think that Spongebob is a homo sponge, a short music video project starring dozens of cartoon characters (including Spongebob queerpants) has spurned forth the following..."The video involves a rendition of the 1979 hit song We Are Family, and contains no reference to homosexual rights or sexual orientation. However, the Mississippi-based American Family Association, in a detailed article by the editor of its monthly journal, insists the endeavour has a pro-homosexual subtext. "On the surface, the project may appear to be a worthwhile attempt to foster greater understanding of cultural differences," wrote Ed Vitagliano.
"However, a short step beneath the surface reveals that one of the differences being celebrated is homosexuality."

My god....First it was the Teletubbies, now Spongebob...is there no justice. I personally think that they've got it all wrong, Spongebob is clearly a metrosexual.
