MIE DESU YOU THA BEST! GO MAMAS!!!!!

This weekend was the Nagano womens' football/soccer (please choose the appropriate word for country) tournament. The mamas fought hard and as a result made it farther than any other mamas team had in the past. Unfortunately a long night of pounding gin and shaking our booties on the dance floor, paired with the fact that our first match was against the second ranked team in the tournament didn't work in our favour during the second day of elimination rounds. But we had a wicked time dancing, driving, shooting and yes, even scoring (for some of us both on and off the field).
Sadly enough this is our last tourney as the 2004-2005 incarnation of the Mie mamas. Soon almost half the team will be returning to their perspective home countries and a new batch of bright eyed, bushy tailed football hopefuls will be dawning the royal blues in hope of achieving glory.

Injuries: none really, one bruised finger (Robin) one vomit inducing ball to the stomach (Joe) one egg creating face ball (Andy) but nothing was broken or sprained which is a first for the mamas.
